Lo Romero Golf officially opened in January 2008 even though it was ready long before then, due to planning issues it was unable to open and had almost 2 years to mature before being played.
The 18 hole, par 72 course was designed by Jorge Gallén and Enric Soler who have created an excellent challenge of golf by making the best of the hills, valleys, woodland, lakes and streams. The par 4, 11th is only 292 meters long but the fairway is very narrow and tree-lined making even a strategic layup a difficult shot.
The signature hole at Lo Romero has to be the par 4, 18th hole you drive off from the top of the hill leaving a mid/short iron into the island green. This hole has ruined many a good card but if you come off with a par it will be the talking point in the clubhouse.
